Landscaping, Plant Trees, Good Soil

I can't believe that it costs $ 483.00 for delivery of dirt. Not good planting tree dirt, weed free etc, just dirt! I have 2 spots, 2 lengths each measuring 85 feet, 6 inches wide and deep. This is what they quoted me. $ 483.00 plus tax. I laughed when she quoted me that much. Unbelievable! Is there anyone out there that does handy work? Here is what I need done: I want to plant some small trees. My modular home faces the west and I want these shrubs planted in a row extending about 85 feet on the north and 85 feet on the south side of the home. I have removed the sod through the entire length with the width measuring about a 12 to 15 inches. These 2 rows of the yard measure about 6 inches deep. I would need some good mixed soil to fill and I want the trees planted. Suggestions for shrubs are cotoneaster, lilac or barberry.
