Just wanted to know what the beach is like at Oak Lake...rocky? Shallow? Leeches? I have never been.

its great for kids very shallow sandy beach and for leachs well all lakes in manitoba have them im sure because they stick to birds like ducks and geese and when u land from place to place the leachs fall off

Have been going up to Oak Lake beach for years and have never a leech on me when using the beach area, only problem I have with the beach is a really hot summer, and usually later on, the water can get pretty green.
All in all I like going up there, especially on days when there's a strong wind from the west, and you get to enjoy the waves.

Nice beach as long as the water is not green yet. Yes there are leaches.
