Heard today that Rolling River First Nation will be carrying out a 1-day blockade of Highway 10 on the way to Wasagaming/Riding Mountain on the first day of the Canada Day long weekend. The goal being to generate awareness of dissatisfaction with land claims. I don't have all of the info on the specifics of the problem that has caused this, but apparently once land has been purchased by the First Nation it is taking a long amount of time to be certified as Reserve land.  
 
While they've stated it will be a peaceful blockade with handing out of literature and a 1 km detour before one is right back on track, you can be sure this is going to stir up quite a few emotions around these parts... what are peoples' thoughts?
