First off,this is Not a Racist discussion..a old friend of mine was in Brandon today ,he lives in Saskatoon,works for the federal goverment.we were talking about the sad state of some highways in Manitoba.he said they are in excellent condition compared to the highways in Saskatchewan.he talked about the Saskatchewan goverment being so far in debt.he said that in the next couple of years the native population in Saskatchewan will be over 50 percent of the entire population .that is over half the population not paying taxes as there are just over 1 million people living in Saskatchewan.that leaves roughly 500 hundred thousand people .of that 500 hundred thousand left,about half of them are retired and /or going to school.that leaves about 250 thousand working people to pay the taxes for the entire province.He said with the native population increasing at the rate of a 3 rd world country (whatever rate that is ), something has to change or there going to be in big trouble.these are his figures not mine.like he asked,what are they going to do and how long can this go on ?? (remember ,don't shoot the messenger..)
