Looking for feedback from people who have USED Monat hair products, specifically for hair loss.  
 
Did it work? How expensive is it? How often do you have to use it? Do you use it forever?

But I know it doesn't come highly recommended by hair dressers. I would imagine because it's applied topically you would have to continue to use it long term for last effects (if effective that is)

And definitely not worth the money. I tried for over 6 months too as they reps said you have to give it time to strip your hair of the build up of all the other products you’ve ever used. Bunch of baloney in my opinion.

I used it for 1.5 years. I still had to shower everyday because my hair was still oily. I loved the leave in conditioner. But I didn't find my hair becoming thicker so I have quit using it to try other options. The one bottle of shampoo and conditioner lasted about 6 months. So although it seems expensive to pay $35 for the bottle, it lasts a long time as you don't have to use much. I think it's just something you have to try for yourself. Some people have great success and others don't. You can always cancel your monthly order.

What about nioxin? Do any of the hair salons in town sell it?

I've seen it in the past in Regis in the mall. I buy mine at Winners. Bigger bottles for about the same price as the smaller bottles in the salons. I do like using Nioxin but I think I may switch to another brand just for a break and to see if theres anything else that works.

I have never used it to be honest, but have definitely heard of it. I figure if the huge industry of hair hasn't embraced the product, it's just a MLM thing.  
 
MLM is Multi-Level Marketing designed to make the one at the top earn all the dough, no matter what "Widget" you are selling.  
 
I don't want to buy any product that a reputable store won't sell. Just my opinion.
