Who does this now & how can I get ahold of them?

They come once a month and set up a mobile unit, usually at a hotel, etc. I went to the Canadian Blood Services website and entered Brandon and the following dates and locations came up:

Jan 25. Clarion Hotel
Feb 22. keystone Centre
Mar 8. Victoria Inn

I believe you can book an appointment on the website too.

I just booked online...once you do it, they re book for you at the donor clinic.

Once a month clinics is an absolutely terrible level of service for a centre the size of Brandon. I work rotating shifts and therefore work a 12 hour shift every time they come. I went from a regular donor with over 80 donations to basically a former donor. I have called and sent emails but they pretty much couldn't care less.

I was a little sceptical when they closed the local office and went to the new format. However I must say that the new format is ALOT faster and more efficient. You get thru the process very quickly! Even quicker if you do the questionnaire on line before you go in. I do miss seeing the local ladies but at least the lady at the refreshments counter is still there!

Blood donor clinic

Before they had a permanent office blood donation was always done by a monthly blood donor clinic at the Legion on Victoria Ave East. It was this way for many, many years and worked great.

Yeah they DO care...I worked there, unfortunately the numbers dropped and sooo many no shows. If people had continued to donate they would still be here.
Please don't stop trying. The number you call does return messages. Perhaps you don't have voice mail (or full) . You must be a kind and generous person to want to save people's lives, so do not stop. Blessings to you.

I believe you can just walk in without an appointment? Make sure to have your ID, list of medications and be prepared to spend a couple hours there. Agreed, it was great to see it so busy tonight!
