Previously I tried 9th street counselling Center, I felt like I was paying to have someone pat me on the back and tell me I was doing great. I wasn't doing great and needed more constructive help, I have a bias for action and I found that The Samaritan House helped me more so. Good luck finding help. " |

Unfortunately Samaritan House counselling is for women and children only and are funded by the Family Violence Prevention act. I'm certain the mandate is for DV affected women and children only. A great service though!
AFM has free counselling for anyone affected by someone's substance use (past or present) or is currently struggling with their own addiction.
Some employees have EAP which covers free counselling.
Mental Health Services is also a free service.
