I was very recently diagnosed with Epilepsy after a very scary seizure at 47. Looking for local support groups.

There was a support group that ran out of that church on 11th I think? In the core anyway. That was quite a few years ago, I went when my daughter was first diagnosed. It was very helpful.  
 
I'm sorry you had a scary experience. The good news is that epilepsy is very treatable in many people and you can live a relatively normal life.  
 
Did they put you on medication? Unfortunately you might be disqualified from driving, at least temporarily, until it's certain your seizures are under control.

Lol yes, no driving for 6 months but I will make it work. They put me on Phenytoin.
