Wondering if anybody has got this vaccination? And which shot? The new Shingrix or the older one?  
Looking for how you felt after the shots, any adverse reactions? Regrets?

Curious as to at what age it is recommended to get the shingles vaccine??

Recommended after you turn 50, not sure if they will give it to you before that.

Both Shingrix and Zostavax are only approved for people aged 50 and older.  
The reasoning is that while anyone who has had chicken pox can get shingles, the incidence (of both shingles and post herpetic neuralgia) increase greatly after age 50.

I had a relatively mild case of shingles in 2016. I had to wait a year (I think it was) until I could have the Zostivax & the only reaction I had was a bit of soreness where the needle went in. I have multiple other health issues & the vaccine didn't cause them to get worse or anything like that which HAS happened with another vaccine I had in 2010 for rabies which really threw me for a loop & made life miserable.
