I am considering getting my child checked out to see if they would benefit from vision therapy. Wondering if anybody has experience with vision therapy? Has anybody ever been told they don’t need it or do they say everyone who comes in needs it (is it just a money making scam?) How long did they need to do it? Experience with places other than Stonewall? Have you noticed an improvement?

Dr. Beaumount recommended some easy, low-tech vision therapy exercises for our daughter who's one eye was tracking properly when reading and she was getting headaches. Did it, much improved. There was the option of buying computer software that does the work, but he suggested the dollar-store option first before investing money.  
 
If the issue is more serious, you might need to see the guy in Stonewall, but for our minor issue it was simple and inexpensive.

In Winnipeg! Dr. Williamson referred me and amazing!!! I had done vision therapy with a ophthalmologist at HSC and barely improved after over a year. Went to Grand vision therapy and improved tremendously. If you have questions pm me.
