Does anyone have a barley (sandwich) bread recipe that does NOT use any type of wheat flour / bread machine flour? I was looking for something that mixed a gluten-free rice flour with barley flour that results in a sandwich loaf rather than a harder, flat round loaf. I have to switch away from wheat & rye to barley bread because of stomach problems & the loaves I've bought in stores are just plain awful!

Unfortunately barley has a good deal of gluten so most barley bread recipes won't likely be good for you. I'd suggest maybe a buckwheat bread diet would be a better option?  
If you're looking with something with barley flour, I believe Farmery's bread mix is exactly that and it's available at Safeway, Sobey's and CO-OP, but it may also i:nclude wheat/rye. They suggest people to add a can of beer to the recipe for "water and yeast", but I'm sure you could use a can of Glutenberg beer or just replace it with water and yeast.

just a switch from wheat & rye because of "bad" gut bacteria going rampant. Seemingly the wheat / rye "feed" the nasty bacteria whereas barley less so.
