Looking for Doctor recommendations who gives cortisol injections for pain.

Think that most of the doctors only use that as a last resort after trying everything else.

Doctors are now telling patients that cortisone shots can kill off bone tissue. No one needs that!

It is a last resort! I received them when in Winnipeg from the Rehab dr., no bone tissue damage.

Ask your doctor for a referral to the Brandon Pain Clinic. It is located inside the hospital.

Cortisone has gotten me from back pain with sciatic nerve pain to my ankle to pain free with two injections 11 and 12 years ago.  
Recently I had carpal tunnel surgery which was not very effective and my family Dr gave me and injection last June which was also a game changer.  
Over all with knees , shoulders, back and wrist I have had 9 (nine) cortisone injections and they have been successful with 1-3 injections.

What my doctor told me. Sent me for physiotherapy which worked but maybe I’m lucky.

Cortisone, not Cortisol.

You must ask your primary care provider if an injection is appropriate for you. If they feel it is, and they don't do it, they will need to refer you to someone who does.

if there is still a year+ wait for the pain clinic in Brandon?

More than a year wait.

Dr. Hanna at wheat city referred me to wpg, if your able to make the trip there, I had an appt within a cpl weeks whereas in Brandon was a much much longer wait.

I’m not sure what the current wait list time is. I got in fairly quickly when it first opened a few years ago but had previously been going to Wpg to the pan am clinic.  
 
You could maybe ask your doctor to be referred to both so that at least eventually you can transfer to getting them done here?  
 
If I had to choose, and taking a full day off without pay wasn’t an inconvenience to me, I would still get them done in Wpg. They are much quicker there, I was in and out total time 15 mins whereas here in town it’s easily an hour appt. However, it’s more convenient for me to get them done here now. The procedure itself is quick but the length of the total appt is much much longer here for some reason

So, the pan am clinic in wpg. Is where I would be sent .
