Looking to find out what the cost is with no insurance coverage.. and who is best to see?

I think $35.00  
But Manitoba health care pays for some visits

A physiotherapist , they are highly qualified . Worked for me. Trudy Holmstrom in Moosomin is awesome. $55 per visit.

The OP asked for recommendations for a chiropractor, not alternatives for a chiropractor (ie- Massage therapist or Physiotherapist)  
 
Now, to answer the actual question asked by the OP, I second Dr. Rust at Westman chiropractic services. Very friendly and does a great job! I have blue cross so I’m not sure the actual cost per visit, but I’m pretty sure it’s a standard rate at most places.

I have gone to Dr. Martin and Dr. Rust at Westman Chiropractic for many years and have always had my issue fixed with just a visit or two. I usually pay only 6 or 7 dollars I think with health coverage.

If you are open to traveling out of town, Dr. Blake Denbow at Souris River Chiropractic in Souris is wonderful, very knowledgeable. Sorry, can't recall the cost of an appointment and haven't an old invoice that I can refer to but I believe in the neighbourhood of $30/visit but you can call his office to confirm his charges.

Dr. Chaudhari is excellent.

Also vote for Dr.Rust or Dr Martin. I have Been to both and have received helpful treatment each time.  
 
I also fail to see why anyone would think tre86 came out with guns blazing?  
 
As far as which is preferable, physio or chiropractor treatment, I have had both. Each serves a different purpose-some ailments benefit more from one, others more from the other. I generally know which will help me most-most often I have benefitted more from the chiropractic treatment. Obviously in some cases physiotherapy is the only way to go. However-if someone asks specifically for a recommendation on one kind of care, chances are that is what they intend to pursue and suggesting alternative treatment is not real helpful to that person. No one needs to get huffy over having that point out above. Just because *you* do not agree with chiropractic care does not make it a bad thing-plenty of people value their chiropractors and benefit from their treatments.

Dr. Chaudhari. He is a great chiropractor and I highly recommend him. His office is across from the University.

Probably get shot down but it would be best to get advice from your family doctor and they will direct you to the right professional, if you have not already done so.

Dr. Alan Stitt at Atlas chiropractic on princess is good, I believe the office direct bills to third-party but not sure of the per visit costs

You don't Need a referral from a doctor for chiropractor,  
I saw dr rust for a recurring back problem , followed his advice and did not have to return for a few years.

Cost was $55 for initial visit $35 for followup visits. I had never been and called first thing when they opened and got an appointment by 9:30am. I have coverage so the cost was zero for me but noticed to prices listed on the desk. Dr Rust was very nice and friendly and helped me out, even gave me advice and a stretch to do to keep the pain away. Highly recommended!

Generally though younger doctors may, Doctors don't like chiropractors and won't recommend them. They will recommend anyone but them.  
 
Now Chiropractors can actually take direct patients without any referral, so you don't have to wait for a dr apt before going there.  
 
Manitoba Health covers most of the cost though they have a total limit I believe. Sometimes there may be a small cost over this. Not much.  
 
If it is related to work or MPI, it is totally covered.  
 
Personally I never recommend anyone as each person has a different comfort level with someone. I may really think this person is great and someone else thinks they are terrible.

Seeing a doctor to get a referral for a chiropractor is just wrong, its like seeing a doctor to get a referral for a dentist.... like really! Also going to the doctor for this referral you may just end up getting sick from others in the waiting room or simply your doctor will just prescribe antibotics lol. Your more then doubling your cost and probably spending more then double the time to get your issue taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Martin & Dr. Rust, always been great service and my back problem was taken care of with one visit. I do not have anything good to say and I definitely don't recommend Stitt.

Each to their own. I had an issue so I saw my doctor (seemed sensible to me). He referred me to a physiotherapist (if he had recommended a chiropractor I would have done that). I made a few visits to physiotherapist for massage, ultrasound and she gave me a bunch of stretches and excersises. Problem was cured and I have had no pain now for eighteen months. So I figure my doctor knew what he was talking about ,made the correct diagnosis and the physiotherapist cost was tax deductible. Just my experience and I am super happy. The Doctor knows best in my opinion. Everyone else can do as they please. Merry Christmas
