i was curious if any mothers out there have had issues with numbness/tingly feeling in legs and feet 1 year or more after a c-section? not sure if its due to the c-section or if its something else

It shouldn't be anything to do with the c-section. The docs don't really interfere with things like nerve pathways and such during a c-section. If it's tingly and numbness in your legs and feet, I would be asking myself if I had somehow jammed or hurt my back in some way, or maybe somehow pinched a nerve when moving wrong? Do you remember when you FIRST started feeling these sensations? What were you doing just before they started, do you recall? I would maybe ask your doc to refer you to someone who specializes in nerves and spine....or maybe even a chiropractor could be of some help? I have had 2 c-sections and have never experienced tingling or numbness in my legs and feet afterwards. Good luck...

I have had 3 c-sections. My second one was tough, they tried the spinal 5 times and couldn’t get it in. After the 3rd time I felt a sharp shooting pain go down my leg. I’ve had numbness and tingling ever since then. (Almost 5 years) I always thought it was because of the spinal but when I went in last year for my 3rd, I talked with the anesthesiologist about it as I was concerned to get another spinal. He explained so many things to me and thought maybe it was Meralgia paresthetica.

I noticed about a month after my c-section my thigh was really numb so I went to the doctor and he said it was caused nerve damage from my c-section but it would go away in a year.. that did but right after the leg and feet numbness starting happening. I do plan on going to the doctor to get it checked out cause its painful sometimes and it's making my legs weak at times.
