Like many. Due to Covid-19 there has been a lapse in these kind of services. Without naming who, I’m wondering are you still obligated to pay for care while not getting treatments? My kid had braces put on in February and has not been seen since. I put a 1000 bucks down and make money payments starting April 1. The Orthodontis stopped the May payment but is reinstating payments for June. I’m like how can you do that without seeing my kid? What has you experience been during this time? I am quite annoyed and upset by this. I am really questioning whether I want to start my second kid’s treatment at this office after this. I think it’s really bad practice for them to be taking money and not seeing their patients. Am I just hyper-sensitive or is it worth withdrawing payments until they reinstate treatments?

Are you paying for monthly treatments individually or is it a payment plan with monthly payments? When I had braces, it was a payment plan with monthly payments or I could pay the total amount. It didnt matter how many times they saw me. This was a couple years ago.

A contract was signed and all that. However, they couldn’t provide service so in my mind they should suspend payments until they can. It was a lump sum to get the braces on... and only the top to start, to treat an overbite, with 232 bucks every month. I don’t have Orthodontis coverage at work so it’s all out of pocket.. and when your laid off this is a hardship.

Without having any knowledge on how orthodonics works, in the contact for a certain amount (i.e. $3000 for the entire course of treatment)? If so, it seems reasonable to keep paying it, as you will eventually receive the service. Perhaps they are anticipating resuming service this month, as phase 2 allows more procedures to occur.
