What is even more baffling

Instead of deciding it few months later...They could have told us to do that as a precaution in the beginning and possibly saved some lives. Wouldn't top virologists know this stuff? Sorry just trying to understand this. Hopefully we can get this virus gone with those who can wear masks and the distance thing and hand washing, etc... So if people are tested positive and show no signs of the virus after 14 days are they considered asymptomatic?

is not only did the top scientists not tell us to wear masks, but they told us not too. It is difficult to switch gears a few months later and try to rewire the mind set of society after they have been convinced of the first instruction.
To my knowledge, and providing the test was not a false positive, then yes you would be considered to be asymptomatic. But before you breathe a sigh of relief it gets better. The antibodies are being found to disappear after a few months, thus making it possible to get the virus again. This has been confirmed. What they have not been able to confirm is whether you would be asymptomatic again or experience the symptoms the second, third, fourth, etc. time.
Their difficulty at the moment is trying to determine if someone testing positive has already had the virus (which is being determined from damage of the organs) or if is is a resurgence of the symptoms of the original virus. They appear to sway on this issue depending on which scientist you listen to but all are keeping fairly tight lipped on their findings so far.
