Disposal Masks are for one time use.  
 
It does not mean to take it off and throw it on the ground. Especially when most parking lots have garbage bins around.  
 
Of course littering may be second nature to you but in this case think of the people who have to clean up these potential disease exposed masks. Or young children who may pick them up.  
 
I have seen them everywhere.  
 
Another option is to have a small plastic bag in your vehicle to put garbage like disposal masks.  
 
I would pick them up as I pick up other litter and throw in garbage but it is too dangerous like picking up drug needles.  
 
shame on all who thing disposal equals litter.

Don’t forgot to cut the ear loops as well before tossing in the garbage!

Although I've seen the odd mask on the ground for the amount of masks being worn you'd think you'd see more. I think the majority of people are disposing of them properly. Always going to be the odd one  
Definetly way more Tim Hortons cups and beer cans etc. blowing around. Although the beer cans get rounded up pretty quick...  
 
But I am curious to know why to cut the ear loops?? Is it to protect the squirrels from getting it caught around their necks?

Yes, cutting the ear loops on disposable masks is to prevent birds and small animals from becoming ensnared in the strings and unable to free themselves.

I had no idea that birds were getting snared in masks.

sometimes i wonder if people really mean to litter? I see a few cloth masks on the ground too, I assume they fell out of their pocket ect so my guess is that for the most part people take the masks off on the way to their vehicle, of course when no one is near by, and the light masks fall out of their pocket or blow away ect  
 
I'm sure a few people don't care and I get skeptical too but I choose to think most people are decent so I try to assume the best until proven otherwise
