Vaccine experiences?

This thread isn't a vaccine debate (for/against them), I'm hoping this thread stays up as my point of it is to hear from people who have been vaccinated what their side effects were. I have health reasons for asking and please don't say go read about it online as Im looking at all sides of this. I want to hear from people who actually got vaccinated. I'm open to pm's if you aren't comfy posting/sharing publicly on the thread. Getting vaccinated is a big deal and I have to look at all sides before deciding which one, espc possible side effects. It's not about one vax being bad and not another.

My side effects are as follows, which happened 24 hours later. I have both shots which was Pzier

1st shot - Sore arm and site of injection

2nd shot - sore arm pits, chills, tired/sleepy.

I was just going to ask the same thing!

I wanted to know what type of side effects to expect from local people who have had the Pfizer vaccine not from the net.
Did anyone use Tylenol after ?

First shot - sore arm
Second shot - bad chills and a fever that lasted about 10 hrs max

Took advil before each shot. Took tylenol afterwards and advil as well.

Still got symptoms with meds.

I’ve only had the first shot so far and there were no side effects for me. Not even a sore arm.

I am in my late 40s, healthy. Had Moderna vaccine. First - sore arm for a couple of days. Second - warm and sore arm for a couple of days, headache and sore back that woke me up that night (but I do sometimes have both headaches and back pain, so may not have been due to the vaccine).

My mom - mid 70s, severe arthritis, high blood pressure, hypothyroid, mild COPD. Had Moderna vaccine. First - very mild sore arm.

Colleague, early 50s, healthy. Moderna vaccine. First - sore arm, a bit of headache. Second - sore arm.

Not sure why my post was deleted as its been well documented and mentioned thru various news media for some time now. Anyways its not recommended to take pain killers prior to vaccination as it can lower bodies ability to produce the antibodies the vaccine is meant to provide.

people only taken pfizer and moderna? I thought there were all three vaccines to choose from?

Pfizer is main one being used at general public super sites, Moderna I believe for most part is being used in first nation communities at this time and astrazeneca being administered at dr offices and pharmacies but limited to a vary narrow age group and only those with certain medical conditions are able to recieve that vaccine at this time, also a very limited amount of that vaccine available.

Had my two shots of the Pfizer vaccine. First shot - had no issues. Not even a sore arm. Second shot-woke up during the night with fever, chills, nausea and my whole body ached. My arm was also really sore. Couldn’t lift it without it hurting. I slept on and off for most of the next day and still ached everywhere. Started feeling better on day three but I was still very tired.

If you want to read all the 'technical' information about the vaccines, you can also find the Product Monograph for each of the vaccines online. These give you the incidence of side effects, broken down by side effect, which dose, age groups, etc.

thanks to all who posted their experiences with the vaccine. I hope all who do get vaccinated don't have any bad effects but that it helps them. Still unsure what route I'll go .....

My brother got COVID-19 at 26. Had flu-like symptoms for a few days then 3 weeks later lost his sense of smell that lasted 7 months.

Other young people haven't been as fortunate with chronic debilitating symptoms.

sorry that your brother lost sense of smell for 7 months, I just thought once you were over it that was it. I wasn't aware of lingering effects. Is he ok now?
