A local perspective on data released alongside today’s update is below:
BRANDON:
Total cases on dashboard: 1452 (no change)
Active cases on dashboard: 7 (-2)
Recoveries on dashboard: 1421 (+2)
Deaths: 24 (no change)
Brandon is a net +5 cases on the dashboard over the past seven days.
PRAIRIE MOUNTAIN HEALTH REGION:
Reported new cases: 9
Total cases on dashboard: 3886 (+1)
Active cases on dashboard: 114 (-7)
Recoveries on dashboard: 3696 (+8)
Deaths: 76 (no change)
Active Hospitalizations: 3 (no change)
ICU Active patients: 3 (no change)
This is the fifth straight day of a single-digit increase in the reported PMH new case count (21 cases over that time).
Of active cases in PMH, after 39 for Porcupine Mountain (-1 vs yesterday) the next-highest is 28 for Aggasiz Mountain (no change vs yesterday) and 10 for Dauphin (no change vs yesterday).
By age and gender, below are the differences in PMH cases compared to the last update:
40-49: +1 female
In Manitoba as a whole, the province is today reporting 106 new cases of COVID-19 and a five day test positivity rate of 6.4% in Manitoba (-0.7% vs yesterday).
Vaccine data shows that 71.9% of the population age 12 and over (+0.3% vs yesterday) have now received at least one vaccine dose and 30.8% have received a second dose (+2.0% vs yesterday). Prairie Mountain Health is showing as having a vaccine uptake rate of 67.5% (+0.2% vs yesterday), the Brandon district being at 72.9% uptake rate in people age 12 and over (+0.2% vs yesterday).
