why are the public not getting this information from the government/public health? I can understand if they now do it Monday and Thursday but we should have heard it today. Majority of public keep an eye on this why are we kept in the dark? It also can motive people to get vaccinated.  
 
and talking about that,  
 
Vaccine % - hasn't been updated since last Friday. Where is the update? The public needs to know every weekday where we are at. What is going on?  
 
Press conferences - why are these suddenly secret and not live streamed? I don't want to hear about it 2nd or 3rd hand from news agencies who may have a prejudice attached to it and don't report all the facts (filter) or only what they think is important. Why? Does the premier and public health today not want to have the public listen in case they say something not appropriate. get back to livestreaming it. I don't mind if once or twice a week but I and many others want to see it happen not just hear it cherry picked by reporters.  
 
Today was suppose to be an update on new public health orders after August 9th. Why weren't we allowed to hear?  
 
School update - will that be public announcement or will it be held behind doors with only press there!!!  
 
It is like a door has slammed on all Covid-19 information.  
 
This is not helping the cause in Manitoba.  
 
All of us want to see the possible future end of this pandemic and we won't with out reliable and first hand knowledge directly from public health.

Because they have confused everyone with constantly changing and relaxing rules, they are losing control in the fight against covid 19 and government is in a blind panic over the coming delta variant ( and they should panic ) .  
Mandatory vaccinations, fully closed borders and continued travel bans would have prevented the abyss that we are about to fall into and they know it.

Also, yesterday was a holiday for them. There is a live update today with the Premier and Dr. Roussin. They are expected to announce new restrictions

Manitoba is doing it right with a slower opening :just  
look at BC and Alberta relaxing their restrictions too quickly cases ore on the rise, mask restrictions have been brought back in BC.

was as you say in a blind panic over the delta variant i highly doubt that they would think of loosening restrictions today. People are scared enough without your rhetoric farmergeorge.

They are in a panic because they don’t know what to do and they know that they have messed up big time by relaxing restrictions but they can’t stop now.  
The delta variant is spreading like wildfire, government borrowing and spending is out of control and the economy is headed for strong inflation and little sign of how it is going to recover.

I know my attitude sucks, but it’s a pandemic with a lot of unknowns, and the next variant is already identified, it’s called lambda.  
Vaccines are good, but don’t have the ability to evolve like the virus and it’s variants, so the makers of vaccines hope for the best, or play a game of catch-up.
