Does anyone know where in Brandon one can get the rapid covid test that is currently required for travel to the US? And the approximate cost?

Anyone know how long the ACC/Fire College testing site takes to get results now?

The past few times I've been tested it was 24-36 hours at ACC. But it's been awhile.  
 
Did you call Elite? Their ad on the radio specifically says testing for travel, so maybe call to clarify that.

Yes you are right I just spoke to them at Elite Safety and they do individual COVID rapid testing.  
Guaranteed results in 3 hours.  
Cost is $350.00 plus GST for test

Is it a rapid test or a PCR test? I think those are different.  
 
Usually for travelling you need a PCR test vs. a rapid test.

Yes, you need a pcr test for travel, but I'm assuming what safety elite is calling "rapid" simply refers to the fact it's faster than the shared health tests in getting results back to you since they specifically mention for travel. But wow.... That's so expensive!! One more way we:re behind other provinces. In Saskatchewan, Alberta, shoppers does these for like $150. Why not here?

See attached picture for proof about shoppers. Alberta, bc, Ontario, Saskatchewan. All offer the tests at shoppers for under 200. Once again, MB behind the 8 ball.

I was wondering if I could just get a covid test through the drive through at acc for travelling international or is that not allowed

Saw a piece on the news and 2 different people one from Vancouver and other might have been from Ontario who flew back from the States had the wrong test and received a fine of close to $6000 each. They are appealing but were told upon arrival it was up to the traveler to have the right test.
