No link, but supremely confident in source. BSD in an update to families on a number of COVID topics has indicated a case in a Brandon school has been determined to be Omicron.
Full relevant text being:
“ Additionally, we have been informed that there has been a case of the Omicron variant in a Brandon
school. It is our understanding that all individuals associated with the class have been informed of the variant. I felt compelled to share this information given the conversations in our province and in Canada regarding the level of risk for this variant. I felt that families and staff should be aware that the Omicron variant is present in our region. The purpose of the awareness is not to create panic but to provide information for families to make decisions and to reinforce the importance of our continued diligence in maintaining the protective measures”
