I wondered if anyone knew of a person who has worked with someone who had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. The side has become rigid (fingers curling and has very little shoulder/arm movement) and I am hoping therapy might help gain some movement back. Thanks

Before making an appointment, I would place a call to Doug Treloar at Physio First to discuss the situation. Doug has many years of experience and I would trust his opinion and advice completely.

Talk with Julie @ Westman Evaluation Rehabilitation Clinic, located in the basement of the Brandon Clinic. I hughly recommend her.

There is a group in Brandon called the Stroke Network. Call Dr. Tamao's office they will know contact info. They are a support group, they run a rehab group and would know the best resources in Brandon. Too bad Brandon doesn't have a Heart and Stroke Foundation Office anymore because they were a great resource. Winnipeg office may have Brandon resource information. Ask for the Health Promotion department.
