Covid-19 testing site staff

If there is little testing being done now and basically just handing out the at home test, why aren’t the sites scaled back or some sites closed. Allowing important health care staff to return to hospitals so we can get back to providing health care to Manitoba.
Like in Brandon do we even need a testing site. At free home test kits can be given out somewhere else doesn’t take a fully trained health professionals to do that.
If someone is really ill they will go to ER just like if you are sick with flu. When you have flu no testing is done unless sick enough to go to hospital. Even when you go to hospital majority of time no testing is done.
I really see no need for these testing sites any longer. There may be special areas but generally no.
And to vaccination sites. More and more of this needs to move to drug stores and doctor offices. And even dental offices as they give needles as well. Or they can hire a trained technician to do it.
Wait until we move to say a goal of 90% first shots then start the process of moving nurses back to hospitals or other areas required. There are special trained technicians that can be used with a couple of nurses to supervise. Slowly shut down some locations in Winnipeg Brandon whoever has too many for usage.
Public Health needs to look at captivity versus usage. If you have only 25% usage. Time to either cut down or shut down than usage can go to another location.
Having these huge amount of staff in these sites can’t go on forever. Especially if usage is so low that staff are not utilized effectively.
