Disabilities vs liabilities

There are lots of health conditions that probably fall in between the two definitions of disability and liability.
Liabilities tend to be conditional upon initial conditions and tend to be ephemeral. For example I have a sodium intolerance condition. If i eat too much salt or soda i can get really high blood pressure and mood problems. I feel these are temporary and reversible with the correct high vegetable diet.
Yet there's some who take the more medical disability view and will codify the symptoms of sodium intolerance as disabilities themselves. They then fight tooth and nail to push pills upon you, which in my case did create major problems.
Does anyone ever think that there are times when we need to avoid pushing liabilities into disabilities. Can we live with risk?
I sometimes think our medical system is too forceful on intervention and may cause harm.
I had some really bad rxns to bp pills.
Yes, I agree that there are maybe limits to natural interventions, but I also think there's a role in over analysis of problems ... caring too much.
Like, maybe there's a time when we need to avoid the doctors office and eat a salad.
I am going to chew on that, go for a walk, smoke less, drink less, and hopefully avoid more problems ...
