Recreation Facilities...

I am curious on our current recreational facilities. With the situation regarding the sportsplex, I hear they are shutting down the pool when the Y expansion is completed. That will leave basically the rink left in operation along with the racket ball courts. The keystone needs 15 million in upgraded to bring it up to showing condition I am assuming for the cup. The BU wanted to create their own sports facility. Work is being done on the Y facility. My question is with all the work being done everywhere, could the money been used to upgrade one facility instead? With so much room available at the sportsplex would it not have made more sense to upgrade and expand that facility? Or another idea would be is have the Keystone as a centralized recreation facility. I know heritage is nice to have but sometimes you just have to let things go. Tear down the old buildings on the grounds as realistically they are not financially worth keeping. Build a pool area on the grounds. Sell off the sportsplex for development and pump that into the Keystone area. I think it would be great to have the rodeo facilities, curling, ice rinks, swimming, even sport tracks put in for track meets, and even the possibility of a water park. I would think by pooling all money together you could get a better bang for your buck.
Just a thought.
