Opinions on Walk-in Clinics
11/18/2008 at 12:10 PM
Including the Clinic run ones, do you find it is worth your while, do you get “thought out” diagnosis or do you feel rushed out the door? Those who have a regular doctor but use the walk- ins because you can’t see your dr. in an appropriate time frame? I have to wait ages to see my dr.( can't just change dr.'s these days either) Do you find if the walk-in dr. knows this they have a tendency to not deal with your problem and refer you back to your dr. anyway? The dr.s’ in walk-in are being paid to service the public but they don’t seem to be doing that. These are not emergency matters (I’m not talking about going to the emerg. Dept, this is strictly the usual walk-in visit) but need to be dealt with more quickly than you can wait for an appt. with your family dr. My way of thinking, with our healthcare the way it is these days, a person has to use whatever is available to help with the situation. Dr.’s don’t seem to agree.
