I don't have the poetic, political, or business savy, but I do know that I believe in the facilities of the Sportsplex and what it offers to the North Hill community that is currently growing. My family uses the facilities weekly. There is already a shortage of places to visit for water recreation, regardless of the new YMCA expansion. I also am a user of The YMCA facilities. Ice time for hockey in Brandon is also a concern. I don't understand our city's lack of vision for the future. It would be sad to see the demise of such a valued and used community complex. Take the money out of the equation. Everything in this world costs money to sustain. Whether you put the money into an existing facility or a new one (YMCA). That new facility will continue to age, therefore requiring the funds to sustain its existance. What about sustainability.
