Dr. proposes suing alcohol companies

A docotr from BC, wants to sue Alcohol companies to help pay for damage caused when pregnant woman drink.
When are we responsible for our own lives? Everyone knows you should not drink while pregnant. Why should it be the liquor and beermakers fault that some people are stupid enough to drink while pregnant. This could then lead to smoking companies and open a whole big can of worms.
I think people have to pay for their own consequneces. The companies put the product out there, but we don't have to drink it.
