I'm curious as to what everyone does when they are going through a rough time to cope with negative/harmful thoughts/feelings that may be Lurking about (and I mean healthy coping BESIDES drugs and alcohol, because that is just to easy haha... thanks)
Me personally, I like to use the good old distraction technique.. Seems to work 80% of the time. I Use to try "thought challenging", but whenever I would challenge my thoughts they still end up being pretty accurate as I already thought the hell out of it before I came to my conclusion.. lol.. So that's a no go for me.. Also I enjoy shopping and driving when I'm down... I could drive and never stop.. I guess that is not really a good technique, I believe that would be considered running from a problem..
So what do you all do to get you through? Any simple old thing.. I would like to hear it!
