Panic Attacks
4/27/2009 at 2:25 PM
I have been going through a lot of stress since December, and as of a month ago I just hit my breaking point. I've been depressed, crying day in day out and have had a few "minor" panic attacks. A week ago, I started feeling a lot better, everyday was brighter. Then last night I was lying down putting my son to bed when out of the blue every part of me from my toes to my head was tingling with a rush of heat following. Started breathing hard, heart pounding tongue felt like it was swelling a bit and tingling, loss of energy. It scared me so much I was demanding my husband to dial 911. Instead he rushed me into the ER, the triage nurse recognized the symptoms right away, and was able to calm me down by discussing what had just happened. That its a very common thing and I shouldn't be ashamed of it, still feeling the rippling effects of it this afternoon. I was wondering how many others are out there, and any suggestions on how you've been able to overcome these life altering events.
