H1N1...the new Y2K?

Are we all getting too concerned about what seems to be a virus that is apparently not any worse than the "normal" seasonal flu?
Naomi Klein's "The Shock Doctrine" presents a strong case for the idea that there are those who promote fear and anxiety to make a profit. Any comments/thoughts on this?
