Flu shots and closed for the holiday
11/11/2009 at 10:26 AM
While the supply is spotty across the country( some provinces apparently are sitting on large amounts doling out at a leisurely pace)
Manitoba reports that they will have some for this week. It also sounds like they have some for Today ( NOV 11) but are closed for the holidays.!!
Whats with that?? I guess there is no panic after all. November 11 is a important holiday for sure and heath employees deserve this day off but if this issue is as important as the Media and health officials say then they should run a clinic if they have supplies. Certainly more people than normal would be there.
Up to this point I was fence sitting on the shots but if it boils down to where time is not that important for those "urgents" still wating for the shots it makes my choice easier.
So lets see- no clinics planned in Winnipeg for weekends holidays are now out. If I do want the shot I guess a day off without pay is due. While that is a small price to pay for my health- it still boils down to myself that there is no real panic nor is this Flu season much different than others ( Media coverage not included)
