Flipping through a copy of the Western Producer of June 28 in a waiting room. Came across a picture that caught my attention.
We have likely all heard about the dangers of living near or under hydro transmission lines.
Well there is a picture of three guys standing under one of those mega lines and they are holding up these 8 foot long flourescent tubes - and they are lit!
They are pulling power out of the air that has been escaping from these power lines.
Not sure how much of an effect that has on a human, or if it really is bad for you. But it makes one wonder, and I don't think I would want to be living to close to one of those lines.
