S.A.D. Question

I suffer from S.A.D. I have been feeling down in the dumps lately so I have been trying go get out in the sun. While walking today I thought: "I wear polarized glasses, does prevent the proper light reaching my eyes?" Does anyone Know if sunglasses or Polarized glasses (transition lenses,or photo gray lenses) prevent the proper light reaching the eyes?
