I am wondering who does acupuncture in Brandon.  
 
I would like to know as well what your experience was (was it effective, was there good communication & respect, skill/not so much), what was treated (if you don't mind sharing), and anything else that you might want to share about it. Would you go again to the same one?  
 
Good reviews, post here...negative ones, pm me. I want to be well informed before making am appointment with anyone.

Dr Lin Li at Brandon Acupuncture Clinic! I was weary as well but felt better knowing that he is a DOCTOR of acupuncture, not just someone who took a course in it. He is very experienced and was very kind and reassuring. I went for a skin condition and had results very quickly. I've also been for headaches, shin splints and back pain in the past. Have always found acupuncture to work better than anything else. And if it's pain you're worried about, it truly is barely noticeable! The needles are very thin. Good luck!

Lin Li is not a doctor, ask him to explain himself, he will agree he's not an actual doctor. This of course has nothing to do with his work being good or not, I've never had it performed by him,

Is good, but I find pushes the herbal medicine on you. And it's pricey

Li is not in Canada anymore so I was told, so it is irrelevant.

I can't recall her name but she was very good.

Is still in Canada. Was into see him last week. His niece is Kaitie and works with him. He is a Chinese doctor of Acupuncturist. He is very good I have used him for back pain energy, cold cure, knee pain, weight loss, shoulder pain, concussion and allergy relief. Acupuncture is amazing doesn't hurt.

I highly recommend Mohani from Westman Acupuncture Clinic! She's very professional, clean and knows her stuff. She's helped cure my neck and back pain and pregnancy related pain in very few treatments. She's helped many of my friends and coworkers with a variety of issues. She's lovely!

There have been thousands, over 3000 to be more precise, of studies done on the efficacy of acupuncture and it's success rate is attributed only to the placebo effect. If you think it won't, it won't. If you think it will work, it might.  
 
That's not to say that it hasn't genuinely help some people. My dad swears up and down that it's the best thing he's ever done for his back pain. But that doesn't change the science, if you see improvement from treatment it's been created by your mind, not because of the treatment.

I did not ask my original question to start a debate on whether modern/conventional "medicine" approves of acupuncture or not. I was merely asking who was in the area and so on. I always approach things skeptically. I do not approach the methods with the idea that it will work. I certainly keep an open mind when trying something different, but at least I am willing to try some.  
 
I can tell you that modern medicine's approach to what I am looking at is highly ineffective, has ethical issues in how it treats it and so on. Because of various and repeated negative experiences with the system that I used to fully trust, I no longer do trust their practitioners nor their methods and so have started looking elsewhere when some problems arise.  
 
I don't believe that modern medicine has all the answers and neither do all alternative methods. Modern medicine is also many times unproven and can be very dangerous just as they say alternatives all are. It can still have its place as does alternative medicine, but one has to approach it carefully and not blindly.  
 
I read the link, searched out other approaches and their articles on them. They kept finding reasons to not search the alternative approaches out further and so concluded that they did not work, having conventional methods appear superior. I find this site highly biased, considering.  
 
Now I would like to see what others have to say on the original question, not on whether modern medicine approves or not.

I have been to see Mohani a number of times over the years. I have nothing but good things to say. She is awesome, effective and very personable.  
Does it work? I would say so. I'm not a doctor, nor very educated in this issue. Is it a placebo? I don't know and don't much care. It helped me.  
I would not hesitate to contact Mohani.

May not be a Doctor as we recognize, but, I trust in his knowledge and experience 100%. i was referred to him by my physiotherapist who tried accupuncture on me. He advised me that Chinese accupuncture is different from Western accupuncture and he was right!! If Dr. Li Lin can not help you...he will refer you to someone that can...unlike some Western Medical Doctors that do not recognize any other alternative treatment even though it may be beneficial to their patients.

I have never been to one but am seriously thinking of trying one for almost daily headaches. Does it work for headaches ? How long does a session last ? And is it costly ? Although I wouldn't care if it worked

My husband is currently going to Katie, and has been pleased with the results so far. She is kind, quiet and knowledgeable and can communicate what she is doing quite well. He highly recommends her.

Where we are going (Brandon Acupuncture), it costs $70/session and lasts over an hour. If you have insurance, it may cover it as well.

She is amazing. I strongly recommend her. Yes she will want you to take the herbs as well. She was my miracle worker when all doctors told me I would never have a child and she told me to give her 2 years. 2 years later I was pregnant! My daughter is now 6

I go to West-Fit Physio on 26th Street for acupuncture. They are really good. I have seen Sharon and Karrah. I have fibromyalgia and try to go once a month. They are great, friendly and professional.

Mohani is terrific  
I went from 2-200 mg celebrex a day just to walk to none  
She has never used herbs or anything with me, just needles, heat and cupping with a bit of electric stimulation. Her new treatment room in her residence is awesome and every bit as spotless as her previous location. She is a Dr. Of acupuncture. Message me if you want any more info

Mohani Mann is great at what she does. I have been a patient for several years now and would never consider anyone else. She is a highly trained doctor of acupuncture.  
 
I go once a month for a treatment and look forward to each and every one. I find her to be honest and I can see she actually cares.  
 
She worked out of a medical clinic and now works out of home. Her treatment room is amazing and something you would expect in a high end spa. I much prefer her new room.  
 
Whoever you choose, ensure you check qualifications. Good luck and Acupuncure is worth trying.
