has anyone had any experience using these blankets?

I have heard of them being used for anxiety, ptsd, etc. You can try using a heavy flat blanket (or start with a heavier sheet) folded in half the size of your body only, then placing it over your regular blankets.

to sleep in a cool room, with lots of blankets, but wouldn't spend good money on 'weighted' blankets, just use layers, including quilts, and you won't want to get up in the morning!

a blue jean quilt that is substantially heavier than any blanket I have. I find it helps.

For Autism and ADHD

Friends of ours use a weighted/sensory blanket for their son who suffers from Autism and ADHD, this is something they have used for years and they find it very helpful. If you can sew, making your own wouldn't be very hard, do a google search and you will find some patterns.

I can hardly sew on a button, cant imagine tackling a blanket - lol
