Tendons need lengthening
6/21/2016 at 9:50 AM
I have a daughter with Cerebral Palsy and this is what her hand does. If you can stand to do exercise, such as push ups against the wall, slowly they will stretch, but you have to be constant at this. Sometimes there are braces that you could where at night time that will stretch your hand back, to help. When her hand got really bad, than she had tendon lengthening done, probably the operation you are doing. You also may be able to explore the option of Botox (needles) if done right helped my daughter be able to stretch her hand out. Botox shots last 3 to 4 months. If it is painful, you might try cortisone shots. See your doctor and they should be able to refer you to the area, best for you. Hope you find the solution needed.
