    trigger point injection

    anyone know of a clinic that administers trigger point injections?  
    hate the long drive to Winnipeg for a 5 minute visit with the doctor.

    Dr. Wong at the pain clinic here does them... you have to contact the fracture clinic or get your Dr. to send a referral...could be a long wait

    I find it kind of ludicrous that you can see him the first time here, but then have to travel to Winnipeg for any other appointments...why on earth can we not utilize his services on the monthly visits he makes?  
     
    I think the trigger point injection worked for me, but I do not have the luxury to drive in each time.

    I have that procedure done with acupuncture at Turtle Mountain Physiotherapy in Boissevain. Merle Neufeld is the physiotherapist with acupuncture training. Works really well for me, far more effective than the freezing/injections that I had done by a Dr in Wpg at the Rehab Hospital. No bruising, no pain of injection. If you have trigger points and muscle knots, I highly recommend it.
