Hello fellow ebrandon forum readers  
 
I''''ve had an extremely bad cold for 10 days...along with an on again off again fever.  
 
The cold is constant, the fever seems to stop for a day or so then starts up again.  
 
Then Monday my right eye became red, irritated, with puss type discharge.  
 
So I went to the walk in clinic...It is Pink Eye... I now have a variety of meds to combat the 3 issues I''''m experiencing.  
 
Is or has anybody else experiencing anything similar over the past few weeks?

I am a primary care provider, and have definitely seen a few people (adults and children) with similar viral illness.

I would be carful with the pink eye diagnosis.  
 
When my child gets really bad sinus infections, the crap actually comes out of his eyes and it can look exactly like pink eye. There have been a few times I took him to the doctor thinking he maybe had pink eye but it was actually from a bad sinus infection.  
 
Normally pink eye doesn't present with symptoms of a cold, flu, or sinus infection. Pink eye is just a gunky eye that can cause a bit of swelling and well gunk.

There's a few bugs circulating simultaneously right now. My youngest had 1 day of vomiting, followed by pink eye, followed by a viral rash, and then another 4-5 days of vomiting and diarrhea, all in less than a 10-day span. She was so dehydrated with the second round of vomiting that I took her to the ER, and they told me there it's been really bad the past few weeks. My husband and I both have nasty colds right now. I'm just waiting for my other 3 kids to get everything at the same time now...

Thanks... The doctor figures it is a vital illness too. Whatever the case, it is a bad one. Personally I rarely become ill for this length of time

I had something similar last April. I started with a cold and than I woke up one morning and I couldn't open my eyes. I went to the doctor and I had pink eye in both eyes. I don't remember if I had a fever or not.
