I'm a 25 year old who still struggles with acne and I have scarring. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of acne scarring without paying 1000 dollars for a procedure. If anyone has home remedies or store purchased products that actually work is love to hear it!

I faced this same issue, and it can be embarrassing. I talked to my doctor about this and they prescribed a medication to be taken orally (topically is available as well). This takes about a month to take full effect and i took it for around 5 months. Scaring is scaring so it is going to take time to go away naturally. What i can recommend is modify your diet, avoid foods that would be considered unhealthy (greasy and sugary) and drink the recommended intake of water which is 8 - 8 OZ drinks in a day. After you are off the medication it will still improve and be at a point where it is very controllable.

I don't know the extent of it, but rodan and fields is a really good skin care product, I don't sell it, but I do use it, and it really does show noticeable differences in skin.

My son has just gone through this. He was referred to Dr. Sneath when the Doctors antibiotics were not doing the trick. He was put on Accutane for 6 months. It took a couple of months to show real signs of improvement. It is now just about a year off and has not had any breakouts. Mostly on his back. The medicine was able to clear his face up before scarring became and issue. His back was badly scarred but with time it is amazing how much the body will repair the skin by itself, when not fighting the acne. He is now able to go to the pool without everyone looking at his back. I can see that in another year that it will hardly be noticeable. Not perfect, but liveable. 1st thing is to get the acne to stop. Go see your doctor and they will try a round of antibiotics and if this does not work they will refer you to Dr. Sneath with no charge to yourself. I hear that there is another doctor at Dr. Sneath''s office for acne problems that you do not need a referral to, not sure if you have to pay or is covered under medicare. Give them a call.
