Hey! I have a question and I am hoping some people can shed some light on it. I am scheduled to have an ablation and an IUD procedure done soon. The doctor told me that I would have some discomfort that day and they next day and all good after that. I was told by someone else that you are off for a week because of the pain. So, I am wondering what info is correct.

Never had the IUD but I had the ablation. I only missed 2 days of work with very little discomfort.

Years ago.

I was not out completely (not a general anesthesia). I can't think of the term But
Basically I was higher than a kite with their sedations. Lol.

Nothing at all.

After the sedation started to wear off my butt was a bit numb for a while. My legs were
Wobbly too. It took quite a while before I could go home safely. I think I also had an epidermal now that I think of it.

Please don't get scared or worried. It really was no big deal. No pain at all. Plus I think you will get pain killers in case you need them. I didn't need them,

I was one day of discomfort and another day or two resting. All good after about 3 days. After that - life is SWEET! No more periods! Its been fantastic.

I was completely out during the procedure and felt nothing. I only used Tylenol afterward

Thank you everyone. I was kinda freaking out about missing a week of work. I figured that was weird but I had to ask. The doctor told me I would be completely out for the procedure and I am happy to know it will be only some discomfort. I feel so much better about having the procedure done. Thank you to everyone!!
