Has anyone had Gastric banding surgery for weight loss? I am hoping to speak to my doctor about this and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on what to expect with it , like , how hard it is to get accepted for it and healing time !

They actually don't do this anymore. They usually do the roux en y surgery. I'm currently going through the process to have it done

I had the lap band procedure done 2 years ago. I was told the wait time was 3.5 years. I decided to pay for it myself, and had an appointment within a month. Healing was a breeze for me. I had the surgery on a Wed (in Toronto) and was back at work for Sat. I have a desk job that isn't physical at all, however. If you have any questions feel free to PM me!
