Stop giving this poster advice about an electrical problem. The OP has already said that they are "uncomfortable...playing with electricity". and that should be the last post in this tread. Telling them it's a weak breaker is irresponsible and if they flip it on and off a couple of times just to check, it my burn their house down. Telling them it could be the shaver plug is also not good advice. Maybe it's not on the dead circuit and if they take a screw driver to it, they could end up with a shock or even worst.

Please, please, please call someone. Call Current Electric (204)720-2530 or current_electric@hotmail.com or maybe All Point Electric. It maybe a very simple problem that can be fixed fast and inexpensively.
