daycare problems

The problem is not the government but the whole daycare in general. As being a daycare worker for 22 yrs the situation is always the same. Too many children and not enough spaces. It is not the gov. fault they are doing what they can to enroll people into the career but they are young and get married and have children of their own. With the fees of daycare it is cheaper for that partent to stay home and look after children then work and pay for daycare. Infant fees are aroun d 600 dollars a month that is almost one parent paycheque pending what your employment. It is up to the centres to retain their staff and keep them happy and involved in the daily operations of the centre. The wage is alright but you won't make a living on it at 26-33 thousand a year. Also the gov. set out lots of grants and opertating money to open centreds but no-one wants to do it cause u need qualified staff and if yoiu lax on that do u really want your child in a centre where u pay exorberant fees with low qualified staff or qualified staff who know what there doing and are scholared for the care of ur child. I know there are lots of spaces advertised on this site looking for chilkdren to care for or need care. Check it out.
