I was reading about how some rental places in BC were trying to "Kick-out" their tenants before the Olympics so that they could rent out to tourists etc at higher prices.  
It got me to thinking about rights for tenants in MB. Like about a year ago one of my friends had to move out. She always paid her rent etc. but was told to move out because they sold her building, and the new owner was going to rent out to family.  
Plus then I was curious since if there were any winter related rule so that she could have waited until May or something instead of January or Feb.
