Wondering if anyone can give me some insight. I have been dealing with the same insurance broker for over 20 years and have had one claim more than 15 years ago. For the past couple of years I have gone to 2 payments a year & have always paid on time - prior to that paid yearly and on time. For some strange reason, last year I get a call from the broker telling me to pay my bill almost 3 weeks before it was due - when I called them on it - they said they were just making sure bills were being paid - I said I've always paid my bill. Thinking that was over - I then received a note in the mail - asking me for payment - I had not even received a bill from the Insurance company. Just considering changing brokers - but not sure if I should go elsewhere? Has anyone else gone to another broker or is it a bad idea to switch brokers after dealing with the same company for so many years. Also, there are some current events that are puzzling going on - not sure if it's with the broker or insurance company. That's why I'm posting this - should I switch to another broker and insurance company?

We had used the same broker for 10 years. We bought a brand new camper and took the paperwork in. They refused to insure it as they needed a signature from the dealer on a certain form. Contacted dealer and they said they never ever needed signatures on that sheet. Told me to try a different broker. We went to the one in the Corral Centre. The insured it no problem! The next week we switched all of our insurance needs over to the new broker! Couldn't be happier and the service is better, wait times are shorter!

Seems odd. Sounds like a cash flo issue perhaps with the broker ? The broker is responsible to pay the insurance comoany on your behalf , doesn't sound like the ins co is having the issue. I would switch, before renew would be easiest .  
The trailer comment.... MPI has very strict rules on bill of sales.... If it's not signed properly it should be refused... The corral center broker may have overlooked it and just didn't get caught

id be worried about a cash flow issue or something like that too, if you are in a small town and "know" the people either ask around or directly ask whats up, who knows what you might find out, then make your decision or just switch but dont pay them to early  
 
alternatively look into paying directly online, my bill has the option but i go to the broker to make sure they get the commission and hopefully will help me out with whatever i may need in the future
