Our 3 yr old dog has been having seizures for two years. We contacted the breeder to see if any of their other puppies have every developed seizures. This was the first they had heard of. So we have been medicating her since the first one. Her blood work in November showed normal rates. Since January she has had 7 seizures that we know of. We have noticed that she does a lot of sniffing around prior to a seizure. Any ideas we should be trying other than increasing medication?

best idea would be to call a vet if there are that many seizures.

Have you discussed with your Veterinarian the diagnosis of your pets seizures? Is it epilepsy? Does your dog have other neurological symptoms? We struggled with a family pet and went to Saskatoon, SK. to Acadia Veterinary Clinic and Pet Rehabilitation to get direct answers and diagnosis.
