I was just wondering if anybody knows how to go about volunteering some of my time to a local animal rescue. Im a big time animal lover and would love to give some of my spare time helping them out. Thanks!

Just ask them.  
 
I went it to the Humane Society and asked if they needed help.  
The management said “always”.  
As simple as that.  
(There was an application process but it wasn’t too bad).  
 
There are a few animal charities in Brandon. I chose Humane because I gave to the Humane in my previous city. Since I don’t have the extra money anymore, but do have the extra time now, I volunteer there instead.
