I’m looking to get two guinea pigs in the next month or two. Sooner rather then later preferably. I recently had the pleasure of pet sitting one for quite a few days and me and my kids fell in love with him and I’m allergic to animals and he didn’t bother me one bit even with constant cuddling.  
I would prefer to get two of the same gender.  
I know best west has them but only saw one there the other day and it was on hold so thought I would check here as well.

I had guinea pigs for years in my classroom. I would recommend getting 2 girls as when I had two boys, they would attach each other as they grow older. Please keep in mind that guinea pigs are hard to sex when young. Make gp can look like females. You have to put pressure on the genitals to help the penis pop out. Just be careful. I’d also recommend getting them when they’re very young so they can bond with you. We got a couple older guinea pigs st one point and they were always skittish as they hadn’t been handled properly. Wonderful pets though!!!
